My first week of Insanity is officially over, although had a little bit of a mix up over the weekend I didn't lose my progress.
Instead of taking the Sunday off I ended up taking the Saturday off as a rest day and used the Sunday to get back on to the regime, was busy on Saturday and ended up buying a whole chicken to scoff but could only have about 3/4 of it. Yes, I did have a lot of it but it was the only thing I had eaten the whole day.
Overall...no significant changes yet (that I can see) but I definitely feel better. Also purchased the Maximuscle Promax Lean (was called diet before but meh) so hopefully that helps regenerate my muscles and promote fat loss. I was thinking of completing Insanity and then putting together my own schedule of insanity and p90x together?
To promote fat loss and build muscle mass...maybe...what do you think?
I'm not even sure if people read these blog posts but if you do comment on what you think I should do!!
And if you have any extra tips!!! You know what to do....

Day 5 of Insanity
I don't know.... I feel a change taking place but see none and the scales aren't showing much of a difference either.
Today was Pure Cardio, which...surprisingly I was a pretty stubborn guy for once and really forced my self to do it. Yes it hurt, burned, killed and whatever else people say, but at the end of the workout I felt like I had lost a few pounds...but....no. Well maybe in the long run I have but at this moment and time...not exactly.
I was watching a few videos of peoples genuine reviews and it seemed to work on them? Maybe because I didn't take a pre program picture to compare the daily outcomes? Not sure but I am hoping by at least the end of the month some form of significant change has taken place.
My eating pattern has changed quite a bit too, smaller meals with less carbs, and drinking a hell of a lot of water and green tea (read somewhere it promotes fat loss). Seeing as I was recently paid, I was thinking of purchasing Maximuscle Promax diet shake along side the thermabol capsules, used to take the shake a while ago and I must admit it works to an extent without proper workouts, so alongside workouts it must work better right?
We'll see how it goes. I'll keep whoever is reading this posted!
1 more day to rest day!!!!

Day 4 of Insanity
MY QUADS!!!! MY HAMSTRINGS!!! MY FREAKING CALVES!!!
I'm hoping you understand that they hurt, a lot. Today was "Cardio Recovery".... well yeah...not much cardio or any recovery either. The exercises today were basically stretches, but also muscle workouts? So it realllllly made you feel that notorious burn.
Thing is so far, I've only really felt an immense change in my quads, my quads are relatively fit as they were...but there is minimal abdominal pain starting to creep in now. Guess I just need to be a little more patient.
Overall, I do feel a whole lot better today. I'm not drenched in sweat and not out of breath, just feel a little tight in the legs, having to walk down the stairs like a grandpa....meh

Day 3 of Insanity
I feel good today, for some unknown reason. Maybe I am getting stronger and better at the exercises?
Either way, today was all about um...Cardio Power and Resistance? Which I assume is about muscle endurance...well of course muscle power along side the cardio to burn off that stubborn fat.
I must say, it's paying off so far, not only do I feel more positive in general but I can sleep a lot easier and it takes up some of the time in my day where I used to be sitting watching tv. So I definitely am not one to complain.
I have not yet checked the scales to see if there has been any changes so far but I'm thinking to do that on a weekly basis, so Sunday most probably as its a rest day. (note to self: rest day isn't junk day).
But um yeah I haven't really got much to say apart from the fact that I am starting to get the hang of this. And oh, the warm up...isn't exactly a warm up, more like a full blown workout that build up intensity gradually in three sets. Has you sweating like crazy before the 'actual' workout even begins.
One word to sum up today?
Motivated.
Wish me luck to stick to it.

Day 2 of Insanity
Well... I forgot to post an update yesterday from the fatigue I was faced with after the session; and a mighty session it was.
So far I'm feeling good, the muscles are aching but seems like I am improving on stamina already.
Going to keep this post short, so...
Its going well. Will be starting the 3rd session in a short while.
Peace

Day 1 of Insanity
Well....if it wasn't for my heart beating pretty damn fast I would have been dead. Under estimating the so called fit test I went in with all my energy not realising that all that energy should have been evenly distributed.
After a painful and hard hitting 30 mins or so of intensive exercises I was more than happy to just lay there on the floor thinking about what I have got myself into.
But whats that famous line they use...? No pain No Gain? Yeah, this truly is one of those exercises where you can spell that out with your sweat and tears (quite literally). I must say though, I quite like the fact none of the exercises need the use of weights and any actual equipment apart from yourself and a heck load of motivation.
And I also need to say this, those gym pains people talk about the next morning? Yeah, you feel that same sensation within the next hour, so that must be saying something. Overall, I am glad I have started the program on a pretty decent level of fitness, results weren't too shabby if I must say, and having your father there smirk at your pain is a little more motivation just to prove your not a quitter.
Overall, Day 1 So far so good. Lets just see if I survive Day 2 to even blog about it!

Pre Program blog.
Well, today is the day, I will be officially starting my insanity workout program in the next few hours. Currently I stand 5ft9" tall (not that tall) and bounce up and down from 12.5stones to 13stones..which again isn't all that good. Aim is to be fitter, stronger and physically in shape (more than I am now) by the time its my birthday. Why you say? Well... I kind of just want to, give myself a little boost in esteem and it gives me something to do after a day of working. Keeping active is the key to success (apparently).
So anyways, for those who don't know, insanity is an intensive 60 day workout program which is pretty insane to say the least, the first workout or test as it is labelled on the package is a fit test which will be done every two weeks to record progress in strength and stamina and all of that mumbo jumbo. I'm not much of a blogger either, but I thought I would give it a go.
Either way, wish me luck!!!
